By describing the diverse faces of our society in detail, Minouk Lim takes a more active stance toward the absurdity and problems inherent in it. She also tries to identify various methodologies for visual production through diversified collaboration with other artists, friends or the public. She satirizes the absurdity of reckless development and money-driven landscapes of our society. She bravely confesses her own ambivalent self and some of weaknesses under such reality, and does not try to hide her doubt about it. This humane level in her work may be the reason why her works acquire more significance recently in Seoul. (Hyunjin Kim, Independent curator)
