Open Call Audition
Public Movement is seeking three female dancers-performers for a new activation of their performance Falling Wall at KADIST in San Francisco. Involving a falling wall, the performance is a four-minute choreographed accident taking place in a gallery space and activated several times. A disciplined body that can perform both movements of order and moments of collapse and transgression is required. The performance will be presented as part of KADIST’s upcoming exhibition “If These Stones Could Sing” on view from February 7 till April 21, 2018. Position is paid.
• Being a charismatic and dedicated professional performer interested in exploring intense physical situations.
• Having an excellent physical shape, being a quick mover and having the ability to perform over an extended number of hours.
• Displaying personal confidence and high motivation to engage with participating audience members as the nature of the piece is based on a series of consecutive short performances with a direct relation to the audience members
• Being available on dates below
Audition: February 3, 10am – 1pm
Rehearsals : February 4 & 5, 10am – 1pm
Public performances: February 7 between 6-9pm
The performance will be activated twice more between February and April (schedule will be made in accordance to the performers availability).
