We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our 2024 Art Space Grant, a collaboration between KADIST and AFIELD: Cemeti Institute for Art and Society (Indonesia) and Anga Art Collective (India).
The Art Space Grant is a collaboration between KADIST and AFIELD that awards $40,000 a year to initiatives recognized for their artistic excellence and their commitment to advancing progressive ideas that tackle critical issues of our time.
Cemeti Institute for Art and Society
Cemeti Institute for Art and Society is Indonesia’s pioneering platform and hub for contemporary art, in Yogyakarta. Known for its dynamic engagement with artists, curators, and local communities, Cemeti fosters socially and politically engaged practices through exhibitions, workshops, residencies, and long-term research projects.
Anga Art Collective
Anga Art Collective is an Assam-based collective dedicated to critical thinking at the intersection of visuality and materiality based on the geographical and social landscape of the region of North Eastern India. Their practice seeks to enrich the dialogue between artists and local residents through post-disciplinary education, artist-led pedagogical explorations, film screenings, and more.
