Artistic endeavors often involve exploration, experimentation, and risk-taking and seek to generate new possibilities and creative alliances. As a consequence some of the work and projects presented at KADIST may have sensitive sexual, political or religious content. Artists and arts organizations must be free to address controversial issues regardless of the opinions of those with economic or political power.

While KADIST does not endorse every idea or position expressed in projects it has presented, we vigorously defend artistic freedom and cultural egalitarianism. We actively support bold, experimental, and critical thinking by artists, and present projects that encourage open dialogue, freedom of imagination and personal expression.
