Borders are nocturnal animals / Sienos yra naktiniai gyvunai

After the first iteration simultaneously presented at KADIST Paris and Palais de Tokyo in fall 2024, the second chapter of the exhibition Borders are nocturnal animals / Sienos yra naktiniai gyvūnai will take place this summer at the CAC in Vilnius.

Curators
Neringa Bumblienė & Émilie Villez

The exhibition stems from the geopolitical turmoil caused by the Russian war in Ukraine. Weaving threads between artworks included in the first exhibitions in Paris and an extensive selection of artworks from the KADIST Collection, here the curators Neringa Bumblienė (CAC Vilnius curator) & Émilie Villez (KADIST advisor) will contextualize the regional colonial histories of Lithuania and beyond into a wider international context, touching such issues as war scars, extractivism, ancestral healing, surveillance systems and diverse forms of individual and collective resilience.
