Maria Lind présentera son projet pour la 11ème Biennale de Gwangju en Corée du Sud ( 2 septembre – 6 novembre 2016), The Eighth Climate (What Does Art Do?)
dont elle est la directrice artistique.
Ce programme est conçu dans le cadre de l’exposition conçue par Biljana Ciric “Habits and customs of _______ are so different from ours that we visit them with the same sentiment that we visit exhibitions”.
Basée à Stockholm, Maria Lind est directrice de la Tensta konsthall depuis 2011. Elle y développe un programme qui explore le rôle social de l’art.
Précedemment elle a dirigé le porgramme curatorial au Bard College de 2008 à 2010.
De 2005 à 2007 elle a été directrice de lASPIS à Stockholm, et de 2004 à 2004 du Munich Kunstverein. Avant cela, elle était commissaire au Moderna Museet de Stockholm (1997–2001) et en 1998 elle était co-commissaire de Manifesta 2.
Une compilation de ses essais, Selected Maria Lind Writing, a été publiée par Sternberg Press in 2010.

Maria Lind will introduce her project for the 11th Gwangju Biennale in South Korea (September 2-November 6, 2016),
The Eighth Climate (What Does Art Do?), of which she is the artistic director.
This event is organised in the framework of the exhibition “Habits and customs of _______ are so different from ours that we visit them with the same sentiment that we visit exhibitions” curated by Biljana Ciric.
Maria Lind is based in Stockholm and has been the director of Tensta konsthall since 2011, implementing a program that explores social roles of art.
She was the director of the graduate program at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College from 2008–10.
She was prevously director of lASPIS in Stockholm (2005–07) and Director of the Munich Kunstverein (2002–04). Previous to that she was curator at Moderna Museet in Stockholm (from 1997–2001) and in 1998 was co-curator of Manifesta 2.
A compendium of her essays to date, Selected Maria Lind Writing, was published by Sternberg Press in 2010.
