Speaker Biographies
Kathleen Brennan is a relational psychotherapist committed to working with clients walking through crisis, overwhelm, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, past or more recent trauma. She is EMDR Certified and hosts the On The Blue Couch podcast.
Mellody Hayes, MD is an evidence-based and spiritually-centered medical expert in the emerging clinical science of Psychedelic Medicine and their applications to race-related trauma. She is the Founder of How We Heal and the cofounder of Decriminalize Nature and Ceremony Health, a psychedelic wellness clinic. Dr. Hayes graduated from Harvard College and UCSF medical school and anesthesiology residency. Passionate about providing solutions to health disparities, she trained in MAPS MDMA-assisted psychotherapy PTSD. She is a writer, leader, public speaker, and spiritual teacher.
LaMisha Hill, PhD is a licensed psychologist, diversity consultant, co-host of the Naming It podcast, and advocate for psychedelic-assisted therapies within BIPOC communities. As a professional rooted in equity, she serves as the Director of Multicultural Affairs within the Office of Diversity and Outreach at the University of California, San Francisco.
Tonja Renée Stidhum is the Staff Entertainment Writer at The Root, offering witty commentary on film, television, music, social media and pop culture news, as well as op-eds and critique. She also has hosted various entertainment press junkets and moderated organized discussions, including a recent panel for SXSW. In addition to those ventures, Tonja is a writer-director-producer currently shopping a comedy series titled, WingChick.
