In fall 2026, KADIST partners for the second time with the Ménagerie de verre to present a programme of film screenings and installations. Drawing on works from the KADIST Collection, the programme resonates with the themes of the Les Inaccoutumés festival, including contemporary forms of writing, the relationship to the body, and performative gestures. Presented continuously throughout the festival, these works extend the live performance experience while fostering a dialogue between the visual arts and the performing arts.

Double Takes is a film and artists’ video screening program initiated by KADIST in 2023, in collaboration with a network of international partners. In Paris and across Europe in cinemas, theaters, libraries, cultural centers, and public spaces, the program draws on KADIST’s collection of more than 800 video works to present screenings accompanied by discussions and artistic programming (concerts, performances, dance). By placing artists’ perspectives at the heart of contemporary issues, Double Takes aims to democratize access to artists’ video, encourage debate around current social questions, and foster dialogue between cultures. Each edition of Double Takes is extended on KADIST.tv, KADIST’s free online platform dedicated to the distribution of films and artists’ videos.
About Les Inaccoutumés festival
The 2026 autumn edition unfolds across the Ménagerie de verre and a network of partner venues in Paris and the Île-de-France region, bringing together French and international artists through gestures of resistance, memory, and transformation. Featuring 31 artists, 19 performances—including six new productions—alongside two concerts, exhibitions, screenings, and installations, the festival offers an interdisciplinary, collective, and deeply immersive journey, remaining true to the spirit of artistic experimentation and research that has defined Les Inaccoutumés for more than three decades.
La Ménagerie de verre, a contemporary creation laboratory, is today structured around three main axes: production, dissemination, and transmission. The Ménagerie is recognized by cultural and artistic circles for the artists it has promoted, the authors it has discovered, the fashion and visual creators it has hosted, and the many artists it has trained. Above all a workspace, the Ménagerie establishes itself as a space for encounters—between artists in creation, between educators and their students, and between works and their audiences. Through the cross-disciplinary nature of its artistic program, the Ménagerie de verre encourages a mix of artistic forms and constant exchange among contemporary creators. Its freedom and independence have allowed it to remain attentive to all emerging trends and to assert a clearly defined artistic vision. It positions itself as a space for risk-taking, where the strength of emerging artistic currents is revealed.
